Two Die Of Injuries In Pendleton County Crash
Riverton, W. Va.---Two persons injured in a pickup truck-auto collision Oct. 28 near Riverton have become Pendleton County's sixth and seventh traffic facilities this year.
Donald Dwight McDonald, 56, of Riverton, died Sunday night at Rockingham Memorial Hospital of injuries received in the crash.
The other victim, Mrs. Ruby Gail Kisamore, 34, also of Riverton, died Friday night at West Virginia Medical Center in Morgantown.
The crash on US 33 about midway between Riverton and Mouth of Seneca involved a pickup truck
driven by Mr. McDonald and a car driven by Jerry Kisamore, 33, Mrs. Kisamore husband.
In the car with Mr. and Mrs. Kisamore were their sons, David Worth, 14, and Keith Laden, 9. All of
them were taken to Grant Memorial Hospital at Petersburg. The two boys were treated and released
and Mr. Kisamore was treated for chest injuries, State Police said.
Mrs. Kisamore was transferred to the Morgan center Oct. 29.
Mr. McDonald apparently was driving alone. He was taken to Grant Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Rockingham Memorial the night of the crash.
Mrs. Kisamore was born Jan. 20, 1933 in Pendleton County and was a daughter of Carl G. and Ostie S. Sites.
Besides her husband and sons, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah Gail and Karen Beth, both at home.
The funeral was held Monday at the Riverton EUB Church. Burial was in North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton.
Mr. McDonald was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was born Sept. 19, 1911 at Hamilton, W. Va. and was a son of Pitman and Cleona Kimble McDonald.
He was a member of the Pendleton American Legion Post 30.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mabel Kisamore McDonald; three sons, Tech Sgt. Barth McDonald of Tucson, Ari.; Forrest W. McDonald of Riverton and Donald P. McDonald of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Miss Mona Mcdonald of Huntington, W. Va. and Mrs. Twila Hedrick of Mouth of Seneca, and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Riverton EUB Church by the Rev. Glenn Black and the Rev. Roy Hedrick. Burial will be in North Fork Memorial Gardens at Riverton.
The body is at the Brown Funeral Home in Franklin where the family will receive friends fro 7 to 9 p.m. today.
